Po’akolu: Cupcakes

Po’akolu means Wednesday in Hawaiian.

How’s everyone’s week going so far? I made cupcakes since this has been a slow week for B and I–I’m going to trade them for some kale and mango from a neighbor.

Monday = Po’akahi
Tuesday = Po’alua
Wednesday = Po’akolu
Thursday = Po’aha
Friday = Po’alima
Saturday = Po’aono
Sunday = Lapule

Numbers (1,2,3…): Ekahi, Elua, Ekolu, Eha, Elima, Eono, Ehiku, Ewalu, Eiwa, and Umi.

See how they named the days? Neat!  (Po means night). Also, the la in Lapule means day and pule means prayer.

Happy Wednesday, everyone!
