Can my dog eat that?

When I brought Z to the vet, they gave me a cute little info card to stick to our fridge that lists all the things Z can’t eat…but it made curious…so then, what kinds of things are safe to feed him?

Found this adorable little infographic that lists safe foods, foods okay in moderation, and totally off the table eats.

SO CUTE!  I’m really happy–seems like a lot of the things that I like are also safe for Z.  Woohoo!  He’s starting to get into that teething phase!  I can’t seem to find any of the teeth that fall out but he goes crazy for frozen bananas.

Have a great week, everyone!

Influenster Yves Saint Laurent Voxbox: March 2015

Yves Saint Laurent Mascara is…gosh.  It is my FAVORITE splurge mascara brand.  I got the Lash Stash from Sephora last year (for Christmas, woohoo!) and the YSL mascara was the first one that I tried out of the box.  It was FANTASTIC and I was dreaming about it for months after–none of the other mascaras were the same…

…which is why I was STOKED to receive the YSL Voxbox!  WOOHOO!  I received a tube of YSL’s Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils, free of charge, for testing purposes.  AWESOME.

You’ve seen the ad before: It stars the very strong browed Cara:

I’m really excited to try this mascara!  I’ve tried YSL Mascara Volume Effect Faux Baby Doll mascara before (in the Lash Stash) and it was AMAZING.  Amazing definition, amazing volume, amazing length.  Curl was just okay but I curl my eyelashes beforehand anyway, so not too bad.  My favorite parts (besides definition because I hate clumpiness) were that it didn’t make my eyes water and that the formula was easy to remove.  LOVE.

The mascara I got from Influenster, the Volume Effet Faux Cils is more of a Falsh Lash effect kinda formula–

Flaunt bigger than life lashes when you brush on this mascara from Yves Saint Laurent. This non-drying formula is enriched with B5 pro-vitamin, which deepens, darkens, and leaves lashes look instantly thicker. The nylon fiber brush builds luscious volume, coating lashes from root to tip for a bold false-lash look.

I’m a big fan of fiber mascaras so count me in!

This product retails for $32.00, and you get it a variety of places (including Sephora, who sells it in a variety of colors).  I have a feeling that I might need to try the other shades….heehee, we’ll see.

I’ll show you guys a before and after–one or two swipes and I’m ready to go in the morning.  It’s great.  *sigh in happiness [and perhaps laziness] over my morning latte*

PS: Don’t forget!  I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

ZOYA POLISH.  What do you think?  If we think about value, Zoya Polishes usually retail for $9 each, so that’s ~$30 of polish right there, not to mention that one is a limited edition.  If we think about color, I AM IN LOVE!  I like bright reds–go big or go home, right?  But I love that the opal and the nude balance it out.  Lots of options for nail art, or for…wearing all three colors at once, like I plan on doing. I like wearing white polish–maybe it’s because my skin is on the medium/darker side, but I prefer lighter/brighter colors than darker ones!

WOOHOO–can’t wait to see what’s in the rest of the box!  :]

March 2015 Birchbox: Beauty Solutions

This month’s Birchbox provides a curated assortment to solve your (our) most persistent beauty quandaries…or does it?

Screen Shot 2015-03-16 at 5.54.08 PM

  1. Laura Geller – Beauty Baked Blush-n-Brighten
  2. Whish – Three Whishes Body Butter
  3. Supergoop! – Advanced SPF 37 Anti-Aging Eye Cream
  4. derma e – Evenly Radiant Brightening Day Cream SPF 15
  5. Dear Clark – Volumizing Toner

First impression: SKINCARE YESSSSSSSS!  I wholeheartedly agree that the beauty starts with skincare.  You need a great base first, don’t you think?  I LOVE that two out of five products include SPF, I love that there’s a good body butter since it’s still kinda Winter-ish right now, and I LOVE that there’s a bronze-y blush.  I’m currently using two blush powders from Everyday Minerals and I’m not very happy with the way it blends into my skintone–maybe cause they’re too pink or too powderly?  Hmm.  Honestly, I don’t ever use my hair products.  I really should.  Maybe I’ll like this one!

What did you guys get in your Birchboxes this month?  :3
