Mother’s Day Ideas: Rifle Paper Co Cards

It’s almost Mother’s Day!  Now that I’m getting older, there are a lot more Moms in my life.  This is the first year that I’ll have a Mother-In-Law (and two new Grandmas)!  Also, a lot of my friends are new Moms as well.

I think I’ll be ordering a few cards—from my number one absolute favorite stationer ever…Rifle Paper Co!  I discovered their things as I was researching wedding stationary and I fell in love.   Their floral prints mixed with fancy foil stamping….it’s beautiful, I love it.

Pretty in Pink – $4.50

Blooming – $4.50

Garden – $4.50

Mother Daughter – $4.50

Peach – $4.50

Rosy Blooms – $4.50

Do you have a favorite?  Mine is, hands down, Blooming.  Combined with my split-up In Full Bloom Limited Edition Birchbox, I think I’m officially set!

P.S. If you’re currently planning your wedding or know someone who is, TOTALLY check out Rifle Paper Co’s wedding designs.  I think they’re perfect if you’re doing something rustic inspired and they’d be great for both spring, summer, AND fall.  Enjoy!

Hiatus (THE BIG DAY!) and Sneak Peek for March/April

Good Morning lovelies!

Today is Wednesday, February 26th.  2014.  I am officially on pre-wedding vacation mode and my blog will be as well!  (The Big Day is this Saturday!  I’m so excited *insert a bajillion exclamation points*)  I’ll probably be out most of the time but I’ll try to sneak in from time to time to share anything fun.

But, before I did step out, I wanted to leave you guys with a sneak peek of what’s coming up for March and April.

1. Influester Optic White VoxBox Review
I’m really glad that I qualified!  (Is it weird that I’m pretty happy to be getting dental products?)   Influester *just* shipped by box–this is my first Voxbox of 2014!  Have you guys been getting any cool Voxboxes lately?  I thought the Valentine’s Day themed one was really sweet.

2. Stitch Fix #2
I am looking forward to this the most!  I’ve been enjoying reading up on everyone else’s Fixes lately.  🙂  I was hoping to schedule this in March but I’m delaying until April.  I hope the pieces are a bit less winter themed then (I LOVE winter clothing but wearing them in Hawaii can be a bit challenging).  Hopefully I find something really awesome to wear to our honeymoon in May!

3. Detailed review on Darby Smart’s February to DIY for Box
Remember those alcohol inks?  I can’t wait to see what their March teaser picture will be.

4. Detailed review on For the Maker’s March Box
For the Makers is a similar crafty DIY box, kind of like Darby Smart.  I was under the impression that they do a bunch of seperate projects (that are all related, using similar materials, etc) vs. how Darby Smart sends you enough things for one big project and leftovers to do whatever.  I’m not sure so we will see!  All these wedding crafts have sparked the DIY-er in me—I can’t wait to do some more.

5. Detailed review on Escape Monthly’s February Box: NYC!
Escape Monthly is a travel/destination themed subscription box!  February’s box featured local artisan products from NYC, and I know that March is going to feature Ireland!  That’s pretty neat, isn’t it?

6. March and April Birchbox Reviews

And with that, I’m out! I am sooooooooo ready to just kick back and relax.   Hope you guys are all having a great week so far!

DIY: Miu Miu Jeweled Heels

I used to have one dedicated pair of dress-to-impress shoes.  They were these smart Stuart Weitzman pumps (that I got for an amazing deal at Off 5th).  My legs looked AMAZING.  I totally miss those shoes.  I’ve recently picked up another pair of random black heels, coincidentally also from Off 5th, that are almost perfect!  They’ve got this awesome stiletto heel but they’re missing something…

…possibly a little bling?  That I could add/DIY myself to channel my inner fashion guru and don some MIU MIU?  *gasp* Which I love but is def. not in my price range?  There’s no way.

But there is!  Thank you, HonestlyWTF.  I will love my Miu Miu inspired heels, which will be great for a girls night out.  And at least this way, I won’t be so devastated if I scuff these… (because my stilletos only cost $30.  Woo!)

PS Wouldn’t this be a super unique and budget way to dress up some wedding shoes?  It’ d be perfect if you’re going for a glam wedding and want that sparkle (without the damage to your wallet).  This way, you can even customize how much bling you want!  Super neat and budget friendly!  🙂

Wishlist: Florrie Mitton Couture Garters

Before we start, let me share this:   Did you know that garters come in sets?  One to keep (a heirloom garter) and one to toss.  I had no idea.  All you experienced wedding gals out there, it’s okay, you can laugh.  I should have asked y’all for advice!  None of my girlfriends did a garter toss at their weddings, I had to google it.  But anyway, speaking of garters—-this is post is about a garter that you definitely will NOT want to toss.

Florrie Mitton is a U.K. company that makes *THE* most stylish garters that I’ve ever seen.  They’re all handmade with luxury silks, laces, crystals, etc.  They’re all elegant without being over-the-top and they’re delicate yet not old fashioned.  I’m in love with these timeless designs!
